Go with running club! Ok it means getting up at 8am on a Sunday, but coming back into Stamford at 10am in the morning when most people are just waking up, pouring out the coffee or buying a paper makes you feel absolutely amazing! Plus you get wonderful company all the way through your run, it’s much more interesting and takes you on new routes around your local area. Although this one we did was almost the same as my yday route! 😉
Here’s me with my good mate Brian at the end, he is about 60 something and has a 1:36 half marathon time! He is, as we yoofs say, “Well good, init”. He was telling me all about his latest mountaineering trip up Striding Edge, so that was much more interesting than just running along on your own. Also chatted to Calli, Hilary, James and Maggie, and Alan who was leading the route. I might make up one and offer to lead one Sunday too. There are loads of great places to run round here. I feel like becoming an expert…

Then, it was such a lovely day that me and Steve went to the Peak District for a 10 mile walk! Not on my training plan but it’s only walking… And it cancelled out my piece of flapjack and lemon drizzle cake hopefully! I am starving today! (Mon).
