Ugh I hate circuits, most of all I HATE the plank. But this is reason number 2 of why having a coach for the race of your lifetime is a VERY good idea. The only reason I went to the gym today was because coach Rory Coleman‘s face bellowed “Get on with it” at me. Look at that stern face, you don’t want to mess with it.
I couldn’t be bothered. I did it anyway. I was going to let myself off the second x2 planks in the last set of exercises when I thought about how Rory would be disappointed in me, and how it would help on The Coastal Challenge in Costa Rica in 25 days time. So I did it anyway. Looking forward to running club tonight, but now having a slight panic over what shoes to wear for the race as I don’t want this to happen again like on the XNRG Druid’s Challenge…Rory has given me suggestions – Saucony Exodus, something from La Sportiva and Adidas Adizero XTs might be ok, going to give them a try…
