I ran 12 miles with the Ultimate Direction Adventure Vesta on Wednesday and did a LIVE YouTube broadcast of my review at 9-10 miles in, which you can watch here. I’m testing 4 packs for the Cape Wrath Ultra and this is the second. You can see the first pack, the Inov8 Race Ultra 10 here. And there’s more info and photos of the pack in my previous blog post here.

I’ve since found 2 more pockets on this pack!

Since taking the pack off I have found 2 further side pockets! See above where there are two zipped pockets at the waist? Immediately behind them is another slip-in pocket, between the zipped pocket and the mesh. This is great, I really like this style of pocket, but they do need to be stretchier in my opinion to be more accessible whilst running.

I’ve run a further 20miles with this pack since last Wednesday and the pack was again really comfortable. I do feel a little lopsided with the single bottle on the right though, so I must remember to put another one in the opposing pocket. Watch the First Run review here:

Transparency: Beta Climbing designs sent me this pack for review on behalf of Ultimate Direction as one of 4 that I am trialling for the Cape Wrath Ultra 8-day run across Scotland this May. I am not funded by any brand. Views my own.
