Thinking about getting a pair of running poles for trail and ultra running? This film will help you understand why poles can help runners, when to use them, and how to get the most out of them.

Simon Tams from Leki poles shares the benefits of using running poles during a Trail Running weekend at Glenmore Lodge, Aviemore, Scotland. Then he advises on when it’s best to use them, after which we take them for a test run where he gives me one trick to improve my technique.

Informative! I learned the way to get maximum benefit by letting them swing properly.

I follow your YouTube channel. Just watched the one on poles. I use summer weight cycling gloves in warm weather to help combat blisters. I have a pair my brother gave me (adjustable) and mainly use them when the trail is wet. I’ve enjoyed my free pair to get used to running with poles and can make a more informed decision when I go to purchase an upgrade in the near future.
