Hi Claire. I’ve only just found your site and having been enjoying your videos. I was at the show on Saturday and i thought I’d leave some of my thought on the show, good and bad.
Firstly the good: I thought the injury clinic was a great idea. i had a consultation with a podiatrist who i think has found the root cause of my toe pain. The show itself was well organised and laid out too.
Not so good: the hall was too small. With only one loo in the hall there was a lengthy queue for the ladies so my wife had to find one out in the main NEC hallway. With only one food cafe and one coffee stand there was a lack of catering for the amount of people there. The size of the crowd also meant you ended up shuffling along but that is standard NEC practice it would seem.
Bad: I hoped to try on and buy a proper waterproof jacket but there was only one which didn’t fit very well. I was also on the lookout for running pack/vest but again only saw the camelbac on display. In fact trail running, endurance/ultra running near enough nonexistent. Where was all the salomon, omm etc? Trail running mag was not there either?
I did enjoy the day but was disappointed i didn’t have a chance to splash some cash and/or just try on many top line packs and jackets. Local running shops just don’t have the range normally.
doesn’t seem like i enjoyed myself lol but i did. hopefully as the show grows more of the main brands will be there displaying trail running gear.
    keep up the videos 🙂
    john

Hey John, great to hear from you, glad you enjoy my films, I think you should send this excellent feedback to the National Running Show themselves, then they can make improvements for next year 🙂 Hope your toe pain goes soon! Claire
