My latest live broadcast (I go live 8:30pm every Wed) was a review of the especially wide-fitting Altra Superior 4.0 trail running shoes which I’ve been enjoying wearing recently.
In this film I compare them with the Altra Superior 3.5’s (which as you can see from the film I have really worn to death!) and other Salomon, Inov8, Hoka and Scott trail shoes I have. This is followed by a Q&A session from the audience and from my awesome Patreons.
I love the wide fit – see the toe box is very different from my other shoes below, which I go through in this film.
However they are zero drop (no heel stack) so my calfs tighten after more than about 1 hour running in these. I’ve added a 5mm Sidas Gel Heel Pad to help with this and it is working well so far! Watch my review for other wide-fit shoe brands that don’t have zero drop, and how the Altra toe box compares with most other trail shoes.
Find out what the Altra Superior 4.0 are like in more detail in this film below.
