Brilliant to watch incredible US ultra runner Courtney Dauwalter cross the finish line at the UTMB 2019. Courtney was 1st lady and 21st place overall out of thousands doing the UTMB, a truly incredible feat.

Here is the entire thing as it happened, plus her run back out to high 5 the crowd and hug friends, she then cheers others over the finish line and gives a fantastic, funny finish-line interview over the loud speaker. How she had the brain-power to crack a joke at the end I don’t know!

Courtney was then kind enough to stay around for media interviews – because she is a TOTAL LEGEND. Thank you for this interview Courtney – here she reveals her sleep deprivation and pain cave tactics and gives everyone some sound advice for dealing with both successfully on long distance races and ultra marathons.
