It was disappointingly misty around Chamonix the day after the UTMB (Ultra Tour du Mont Blanc) so we went low level and ran the first section of the race route from Chamonix to Les Houches, then up to Christ the King (Christ-Roi) statue for a great view of the town. We stayed at that height (ish) to get back to Cham, saw a wonderful mountain goat (an ibex) on route, and climbed a few exciting rocky bits. Decided I must get fitter and do more running in Chamonix.
